Recently, I was fortunate to attend a talk by Israeli Arab journalist Khaled Abu Toameh in Jerusalem.
Toameh gave an incredibly wide ranging talk about the peace process, the double standards rife in the West and the media when it comes to coverage of the Middle East and his perspective as a Muslim Arab of Palestinian descent living in Israel (and you thought you had identity issues!). Read more >>
Dear friends from Tennessee. I am very happy to be in your midst today. I am happy and proud to be in this impressive church. My friends, I am here to speak words of truth and freedom.
Do you know why America is in a better state than Europe? Because you enjoy more freedom than Europeans.
And do you know why Americans enjoy more freedom than Europeans? Because you are still allowed to tell the truth.
In Europe and Canada people are dragged to court for telling the truth about islam.
I, too, have been dragged to court. I am an elected member of the house of representatives in the Netherlands. I am currently standing in court like a common criminal for saying that islam is a dangerous totalitarian ideology rather than a religion.

Israel Today Magazine reports: An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale shook the northern portion of the Jordan Valley Saturday evening, causing many Israelis living in the area to panic.
While not a particularly severe earthquake, those living near the epicenter reported to Israeli media that it felt huge. House shook and windows shattered, and most people rushed out into open areas like local soccer stadiums to avoid being hit by falling debris. Quite a bit of minor damage was reported, but there were no injuries.
The Jordan Valley is part of the Syrian-African Rift, the largest fault line in the world.
Churchill knew.. but he was silent...Lessons of the Holocaust for Jews and Christians by David Pawson
Was the Holocaust a judgement of God to the world for not protecting the Jewish people? Why did the world not do anything to save the Jews, even when they knew what the plans of Hitler were before the killing started?

Gaza is not cut off from the outside world.
In the last year, the markets of Gaza have been flooded with produce and merchandise. From June 2007 (the date of the Hamas military takeover of Gaza), overall monetary transfers to Gaza have totaled over $5 billion from governmental and extragovernmental sources.
There is also an established economic system of Palestinian imports from Egypt via hundreds of tunnels operating under the control of a Hamas government that grants approval for operating them and collects taxes from their owners.
The tunnel network has increased imports from Egypt to Gaza from $30 million annually during the years 1994-2006 to more than $650 million annually.

Of all the questions readers ask, there’s no question about which are the most frequent.
First, is Israel about to attack Iran, or when will this happen?
Second, do US President Barack Obama and his entourage hate Israel, and will there be a major confrontation or some kind of sellout?

Hillary Clinton’s unfortunate mistake
Someone in the State Department is giving Secretary of State Hillary Clinton imprecise information about Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
In her speech to AIPAC Monday, Clinton condemned Hamas for renaming “a square after a terrorist who murdered innocent Israelis,” saying it was “wrong and must be condemned.” On the other hand, Clinton “commended” PA Chairman Abbas. Read more >>

STATE OF THE EPICENTER: Where does the Israel-Iran conflict stand at the end of 2009?Joel Rosenberg's Weblog
Yesterday, I met with another evangelical leader to discuss how we could work together to mobilize more Christian support for the Jewish State. He asked me what I thought would happen next between Israel and Iran. I began my answer by conceding,
“I don’t know. As I keep saying, I’m praying for peace, but preparing for war.”

Israel on Thursday dedicated an impressive monument to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
At nearly 30-feet tall, the huge sculpture and the expansive courtyard in which is it placed form a very visible commemoration of that dreadful day. The sculpture itself, designed by artist Eliezer Weishoff, is of a waving American flag that transforms into a memorial flame.
The base of the sculpture is actually a piece of the ruins of the World Trade Center, donated toward the Jerusalem memorial by the New York City Municipality.
While the Jerusalem memorial is by no means the first 9/11 memorial set up in Israel, it is one of the only memorials outside the US that includes the names of all 2,980 victims of the attacks.

The Palestinian Authority initially expressed strong support for the United Nations' Goldstone Report, which charged Israel with war crimes in connection with the late 2008-early 2009 Cast Lead counter-terror offensive in Gaza. However, on Thursday night PA officials told Arab media that they would not support the report in a UN Human Rights Council vote on Friday. After having termed the report “professional” and “unbiased” when it was first released, the PA has now backtracked and seeks several months in which to study the document. Read more >>

Obama sought to put the United States into a neutral rather than pro-Israel position.
