While the peace talks are entering a final phase and US State Secretary John Kerry is expected to present his framework peace agreement imminently, the pressure on Israel to give in to Palestinian demands is growing. Both the Secretary of State and the EU leaders are now warning of Israel’s growing isolation if the peace talks fail. According to them a failed peace process is automatically to be blamed on Israel and Israel alone.

What Kerry Forgot When He Blamed Israel

April 9, 2014
Israel was stunned on Wednesday, as attested to by the morning newspaper headlines, that US Secretary of State John Kerry had effectively “thrown it under the bus” by apportioning the lion’s share of the blame for failed peace talks to the Jewish state.

Without getting personal, Netanyahu hits back at Obama

By David Horovitz, March 4, 2014
Publicly savaged by President Barack Obama for his settlement policies on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday opted for a firmly non-personal response in a warmly received address to the AIPAC conference here. He argued extensively for several positions directly at odds with those held by the president, but did so without the direct targeting that Obama had employed in his incendiary Bloomberg conversation.

Israel can expect to face international isolation and possible sanctions from countries and companies across the world if Benjamin Netanyahu fails to endorse a framework agreement with the Palestinians, US President Barack Obama cautioned on Sunday ahead of a meeting with the Israeli prime minister.

John Kerry Threatens Israel With Boycotts if Talks Fail

Arutz Sheva reports:
Dept. Defense Minister responds to new boycott threats by US Sec. of State Kerry: 'Friends don't put ultimatums on Israel's security.'
US Secretary of State John Kerry on Saturday threatened Israel that a failure in the peace talks would lead to global boycotts and de-legitimization of the Jewish state. The warning comes as no surprise to those familiar with reports earlier in the month, which revealed that Kerry is orchestrating the European boycotts against Israel. Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon responded to Kerry's threats of boycotts, saying "we respect Secretary of State Kerry but will not hold talks with a gun to our head. Friends don't put ultimatums on the security of the state of Israel". More

Palestinians: Give us Jerusalem, or No Peace

The Palestinian leadership at the weekend again signaled how far we are from reaching a bilateral, final status peace agreement, the determined and ongoing efforts of US Secretary of State John Kerry notwithstanding.

Polls over the past decade have consistently shown that an overwhelming majority of Israelis are opposed to surrendering to the Palestinians the eastern half of their ancient capital, including the Old City and its Temple Mount. 10 misconceptions behind Obama's speech in Israel

US President Barack Obama's visit to Israel was widely seen as a success, given that the primary goal was to win over the hearts of an Israeli public that had been, at best, suspicious of the American leader.

Only God knows what is best for Israel. God also tells us that He will bless those who bless His people. The majority of America has turned their back on God and His commandments and is reaping the consequences of that action. The true believers stand by Israel and the Israeli people.

Obama: I know what's best for Israel

In further evidence that US-Israel relations will remain on the rocks for the foreseeable future, a prominent American columnist revealed this week that President Obama has been repeatedly stating that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is leading Israel toward isolation.

Jeffrey Goldberg, national correspondent for the Atlantic, wrote on the Bloomberg network that when Netanyahu recently announced plans to build new Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria in response to provocative Palestinian moves at the UN, Obama didn't even bother getting angry.
Goldberg noted that an "inured" Obama simply started telling people that "Israel doesn't know what its own best interests are."
The entire affair is representative of Washington's typical reaction to the failing Israeli-Palestinian peace process. When Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas went to the UN in November to unilaterally seek recognition for a Palestinian state outside the framework, and in violation of, signed agreements, Obama opposed the move, but refrained from accusing Abbas of harming the quest for peace. When Netanyahu responded by approving increased Jewish settlement construction, the White House was all too clear that the Israeli leader was hindering peace efforts.  This double standard has been a long-standing feature of the peace process.

Obama's remarks and the timing of their publication can also be seen as an attempt to influence Israel's upcoming election and scare Israeli voters from choosing Netanyahu. Netanyahu's challengers are already playing on fears that he will damage vital US-Israel relations at a time when the Jewish state needs Western support in its nuclear face-off with Iran.
But unlike many Israeli politicians, Netanyahu knows well that Obama alone cannot turn the US against Israel, and that while the White House may be antagonistic toward the Jewish state, Congress and the majority of Americans lean far in the opposite direction.

 Palestinians don't want Palestinian refugees

The Palestinian governments in Gaza (Hamas) and the so-called "West Bank" (Mahmoud Abbas) have refused to take Palestinian refugees from war-ridden Syria.

He declared that these refugees should return to Israel and not to the Gaza Strip.

Obama now unsure Palestinians even want peace

US President Barack Obama has come to realize what many Middle East observers have long known:
that perhaps the Palestinian Authority leadership does not WANT genuine peace and coexistence with Israel.
President Obama expressed that concern during a White House meeting with Orthodox Jewish leaders on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
Over the past three years, Obama has seen the Palestinian leadership consistently REFUSE to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while at the same time trying to blame the impasse on Israel's rejection of far-reaching preconditions.

Far fewer 'Palestinian refugees' than claimed

The Palestinian refugee phenomenon is unique in that, unlike past refugee situations, the number of Palestinian refugees is growing exponentially. Of the 600,000-750,000 Arabs displaced by the 1948 Israeli-Arab war, as few as 30,000 remain alive and nation-less today.
And yet, the Palestinians somehow claim over FIVE million refugees, with the support and blessing of the international community. Where is the reality in this?

The Future of Europe, Israel and the Jews

Washington, D.C., May 23, 2012
Chilling statement, worth reading:
"America today faces one of the greatest threats to its existence since our founding," writes U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, in his chilling book, The Debt Bomb.
"The threat does not (only) come from any foreign army or terrorist network, but from our own government and its unsustainable spending. If we don't change course in the near future - most likely the next two years - America as we've known it could soon be a shell of its former self. We could face a sudden economic collapse worse than the Great Depression, or we could enter an era of managed decline and waning influence."

Military intelligence expert gives grim assessment of Iran’s nuclear threat

By Dr. Mike Evans
Retired General William Boykin, former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, recently took a serious look at the threat posed by Iran—not just to Israel but to the United States as well. He wrote:

From mourning to joy: Happy Birthday, Israel!
Israel's 64th Indepenfance Day

What Israelis do every year on Wednesday, they made the incredible transition from deep mourning to bounding joy as they first marked the nation's Memorial Day for its fallen soldiers before moving immediately into Independence Day.

Nearly every Israeli has lost a family member or friend to war or terrorism, meaning that for nearly every Israeli, Memorial Day is a very solemn time. At sunset on Wednesday, April 25, National mourning will turn to sudden joy as the Nation of Israel burst into celebration over what the sacrifice of their loved ones has purchased - a safe and secure Jewish homeland after millennia of exile and persecution.

Netanyahu: When Sirens Sound, We are One Family

When Memorial Day sirens sound, We will all become one family,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said as Israel remembers fallen soldiers and terror victims. A one-minute siren sounded at 8 p.m. Tuesday and a two-minute siren will sound at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Iran’s biggest military joint exercise ever will use live ammunition

Dr. Mike Evans, April 13, 2012
Iranian news agencies have announced the largest military exercise since the Islamic revolution in 1979.
Iranian army and air force units will join with the Revolutionary Guard forces to conduct live fire drills aimed at strengthening Iran’s air defense against a possible attack.
The announcement came as Iran’s leaders declared their unyielding commitment to continuing their nuclear program.

The threat posed to Israel by a nuclear Iran is too great for the Jewish state to accept. Iran CANNOT be allowed to have nuclear weapons. Yet world leaders will gather in Turkey tomorrow for still more talks with Iran that will almost certainly not include any serious measures to stop their evil aims. Isreal is facing this great threat largely on its own, but you and I are standing with them! There is no doubt in my mind that God has worked to make the Jerusalem World Center in the Holy City a reality “for such a time as this”…

New Israeli opposition leader, Shaul Mofaz, would meet MOST Arab demands

Shaul Mofaz, the new head of Israel's opposition and the Knesset's largest party, Kadima, laid out his political platform for the New York Times on Friday, and it leans a bit more to the left than many Israelis expected. Mofaz told the American newspaper that he agrees with the assessment held by his predecessors, Ehud Olmert and Tzipi Livni, that Israel must permit the creation of a Palestinian Arab state in order to maintain a Jewish majority in Israel.

Obama Intentionally Leaking Israeli Intelligence Information?

Former American ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, accused the Obama administration of intentionally leaking highly sensitive Israeli intelligence information, in an interview with FOX News.

More signs Israel may strike Iran soon

Speculation that Israel is preparing to launch a pre-emptive military strike against Iran's defiant nuclear program was bolstered this week by a handful of incidents that suggested the Jewish state may indeed be preparing to take such action.

Early this week, Tel Aviv received its first "Iron Dome" anti-missile battery, despite the fact that the missiles being fired by Gaza-based terrorists can't quite reach Israel's largest metropolitan center at this time. Israeli military officials said the battery was deployed in order to test its effectiveness in that setting should a future threat arise. It is widely believed that if Israel strikes Iran, the first target of Iran's response will be Tel Aviv.

State Dept. Spokesman Refuses to Say Whether Jerusalem Is the Capital of Israel

There was an amazing exchange today at the State Department press briefing when the press secretary refused to say that Jerusalem is the capital of the state of Israel. “We are not going to prejudge the outcome of those negotiations, including the final status of Jerusalem,” State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland said in response to the question.

A long-standing point of contention between Israel and the US (one of the few that exists) is the fact that while Congress and the vast majority of American citizens recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state, the White House refuses to do so.

Terrorists call Gaza ceasefire 'victory'; Egypt calls to cut ties with Israel

The massive barrage of rockets and mortars shells from Gaza that pummeled southern Israel for the past few days finally died down on Tuesday as Israel and Palestinian terror groups settled into an informal and fragile ceasefire.

Dozens of Israelis were wounded this week as 222 rockets struck across the northern Negev and parts of the coastal plain, and nearly one million civilians were forced to spend most of their time in bomb shelters. Schools in the area have been closed all week, and Israel's emotional crisis hotline, Eran, recorded a 150 percent increase in calls. Read more>>

MUST SEE: With friends like Obama...

The Emergency Committee for Israel has published a YouTube video that properly puts into perspective the relationship between Israel and the Obama Administration.

Obama has consistently insisted that he is Israel's greatest friend, and in the run-up to this week's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House has been talking tougher than ever on the Iran threat.

But Obama's actions have revealed his true agenda, and his true feelings toward Israel. Watch the video, and you will come to understand that with a friend like Obama, Israel's long list of enemies has grown even longer.
Video presentation shows that despite Obama's declarations of friendship with Israel, he has consistently thrown Israel under the bus as he rushes headlong into the arms of Islamists

Netanyahu to Tell Obama: Attack Iran – Or Else’

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will deliver President Barack Obama an ultimatum that if the United States does not attack Iran soon, Israel will, the London Telegraph reported Sunday.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said last month that there is a "strong likelihood" of an Israel attack by June. If Prime Minister Netanyahu delivers an ultimatum, it would give the United States 2-3 months to act or face the reality of an Israeli attack that would almost certainly require the United States coming to its aid, if necessary.

Lieberman Upstages AIPAC:
Don’t Count on United States

Plain-speaking Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman warned Sunday that IF the United States is too weak to be able to intervene to stop Syrian President Bashar Assad’s ”systematic murder of innocent civilians,” it can’t be counted on to come to Israel’s aid.

"If the international community is incapable of stopping the massacres in Syria, what is the value of its promises to protect the security of Israel?" he told Voice of Israel government radio Sunday as American and Israeli leaders prepare to address the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference in Washington.

Netanyahu recognizes full threat of Iran nukes

A nuclear-armed Iran would indeed pose an existential threat to Israel. Despite the efforts of Western officials to paint Iran's religious rulers as ultimately rational, the actions of the ayatollahs over the past 30 years have shown they are on a jihad-fuelled mission.

But the threat is not to Israel alone. Sure, chances of Iran firing nuclear missiles at any nation besides Israel are incredibly small at this time, but simply allowing Iran to possess a nuclear weapon would significantly upset the regional and global balance.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu understands this.

U.S. Worries Israel is about to Strike Iran

U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta believes there is "a strong likelihood" that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June, according to the Washington Post's David Ignatius.

Israel believes that after this time, Iran will have entered a “zone of immunity” that will enable it to build a nuclear bomb at its leisure, Ignatius wrote. Defense Minister Ehud Barak used the same words Thursday in his speech at the Herzliya Conference.

What Will An Israeli Attack on Iran Look Like?

As the rampant speculations that Israel will soon launch a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities continue, a report on NBC on Friday revealed what such an attack may look like.
The report, the main points of which were presented by Israel’s Channel 10 News, is based on conversations the American network held with current and former officials in Israel and the United States. The report suggests that an attack on Iran will combine air and ground faces but will not include naval forces.

Why is Obama lying to cover for the Muslim Brotherhood?

Joel C. Rosenberg
Washington, D.C., December 20, 2011) -- As we prepare to celebrate Hanukah beginning Wednesday night, we also find Israel increasingly endangered and isolated internationally. Consider the latest news from the epicenter: "U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said Monday that Iran will have a nuclear weapon within one year, if not less," reports Haaretz. Yet despite this rapidly growing threat, Panetta -- and, more importantly, President Obama -- are refusing to take decisive measures to neutralize the Iranian nuclear threat and help the Iranian people overthrow the evil regime in Tehran. What's more, the Obama administration is publicly pressuring Israel not to even consider taking decisive steps of her own, including preemptive military strikes. This is unconscionable.

Debkafile's military sources report: Syria and Hizballah now possess thousands of surface missiles from Iran with enhanced ranges of up to 300 kilometers and they are being outfitted by Iranian engineers with guidance systems. The new guided Fateh-110, M-600 and Scud D missiles hardware can pinpoint any part of Israel within a 10-meter radius in defiance of Israel's aerial and anti-missile capabilities, say Israeli and Western missile experts. Hizballah and Syria have been furnished by Iran with the means for fighting a new, far more comprehensive war. Read more >>

As Iran, Hizballah weigh war in months, Israel plans for next decade

On October 28, a Hizballah war game demonstrated the ability of its special forces to overrun Lebanon in two hours. It took Israel 19 days to respond: Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi finally confirmed on Nov. 15 that the Shiite terrorists may seize power after the UN Tribunal indicts their leaders for the Hariri assassination. The general's was dry - not a word about how Israel proposed to handle a violent hostile terrorist takeover of Beirut on Iran's behalf and the grave strategic peril it presented Israel. Read more >>

Coding of Virus Attacking Iran May Refer to Queen Esther

Iranian Intelligence Minister Heider Moslehi said Sunday that his country is under cyber attack, and blamed the United States and Israel. Iranian officials initially admitted that their country had been hit by the Stuxnet computer worm, but insisted that the damage was minimal.

Iran has been forced to push back the opening of the nuclear plant in Bushehr. Senior Information and Technology official Hamid Alipour admitted that while Iranian officials had hoped to clean up the worm's infiltration in under two months, that hope had been proven unrealistic. “The worm is not stable, and since we started the cleanup process, three new versions have been spreading,” he said.

Border Clash: A Case Study in Reuters Photography

A closer look at Reuters' photos of last week's Lebanese border skirmish raises some troubling questions. Last week's shoot out along the Israeli-Lebanese border during routine IDF maintenance was remarkably well-covered by many news services. Reuters' own photo work stood out, both for the sheer number of images produced, and for the quality of the pictures -- access to the front lines that that would impress and envy most combat reporters.

HonestReporting reviewed Reuters' photographs of the incident as a case study. The results raise some troubling questions. Read more >>

Eilat Rocket Attacks Show How Hamas Uses Sinai

At 8 a.m. on Monday morning, residents of Eilat reported hearing loud blasts as five rockets hit the city, two of which exploded in open areas and three fell into the sea. No injuries were reported. A rocket also hit Aqaba, Jordan, exploding next to a local hotel. One person was killed and three others were wounded.
It is believed that the rockets were shot by Hamas terrorists from the Sinai Peninsula, although Egypt has denied this. If true, these attacks (which are the second of their kind in less than four months) are proof that Hamas is able to use the Sinai Peninsula to its advantage and attack Israel.

Mosque Near Ground Zero 'Like a Pig in the Temple'

The plan to build a mosque adjacent to the ruins of the Twin Towers passed a crucial hurdle Tuesday when New York City's Landmarks Preservation Commission voted 9-0 NOT to declare the building now occupying the site protected, making way for it to be demolished and a mosque and Islamic center to be built in its place.
No one was more shocked by the news than retired Brigadier General Dov Shefi, a former chief military prosecutor and now attorney general of the Defense Ministry who lost his son in the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers. "For us it's like bringing a pig into the temple," Shefi told Arutz-7. Read more on More Israel News

Obama Names Medicaid Chief Who Backs Anti-Israel Doctors

Republicans, and some Democrats, are in an uproar over U.S. President Barack Obama’s naming a Medicare chief who backs socialized medicine—and an anti-Israel physicians’ group.
The appointment of Donald Berwick, who is heavily involved in the anti-Israel Physicians for Human Rights organization, was made without going through the usual process of securing confirmation by the Senate. Opposition to his appointment was strengthened after it was discovered that Dr. Berwick said in a speech two years ago that the British system of socialized medicine is superior to the American health system.

Netanyahu has Outmaneuvered Obama, TIME Hints

Obama's window of opportunity for pressuring Israel has closed, TIME magazine appears to say in its latest piece, and may not reopen until his eighth year in office, should he be re-elected.

Palestinian leader collapses US bid for direct peace talks

Israel wants to adopt orphaned Haitians

Sunday, January 24, 2010 Israel Today Staff
The Israeli field hospital in Port-au-Prince has been the primary care center for children severely wounded in the massive earthquake that devastated Haiti last week. Many of those children lost the rest of their families and are now orphans.

Israel is looking to extend its goodwill and assistance by also providing those children with new homes.

Israeli Minister of Welfare and Social Services Isaac Herzog said at the weekend that the government is working to forge and agreement with the Haitian authorities that would allow Israel to adopt hundreds of children orphaned by the earthquake.

Herzog noted that Haiti was one of the nations that voted in favor of recognizing the Jewish state in 1947, and that Israel was now repaying the favor.

Relevant Israeli authorities are working hard to cut through the bureaucratic red tape that makes international adoptions so difficult, but Herzog said it could take time considering the lack of unified and strong leadership in Haiti at the moment.

Israeli rescue teams in Haiti – an example for the world

The well-organized and exceptionally equipped Israeli team spared no time or effort to assist the beleaguered Haitian population in Port-au-Prince. Without wasting time, the Israeli team of 250 people, including 120 soldiers co-coordinating the operation, set out to save lives.

The daily activities of the IDF can be followed on their Blog.
(At night, the 60 members of the Belgian B-Fast team had to leave their small rescue post due to a worsening security situation and some provisions, mainly water and food, were stolen. Twenty-four Belgian soldiers will be sent to Haiti to protect the medical team in the future, if necessary.)

Search and rescue teams work around the clock in order to free those trapped from under the collapsed buildings. People were amazed at the standard of equipment and professionalism of the Israeli field hospital near the football field in Port-au-Prince. It had the ability to tend a maximum of 500 patients per day.

A CNN news team was present in the area, and journalist Elizabeth Cohen visited some of the aid posts. Her comments reflected the true situation. After visiting the poorly equipped Haitian and American aid-posts, she was stunned to see the Israeli field hospital. She was visibly embarrassed when comparing it with the American aid-post. (See video below).

CNN: “This is like another world compared to the other hospital,” she said.

How is it possible that... “nobody but the Israeli’s are accepting our patients...” a doctor asked her, and “the Israeli’s came from the other side of the world. What...? How...?”

Astonishment and appreciation surrounds the Israeli rescue team. The most modern equipment had been brought from Israel. The Israeli’s, from the other side of the world, had the ability to do what the Americans could not achieve under these critical circumstances. The Jewish quote: “he who saves a life, saves a nation” has been put into action.

IDF Search and Rescue teams in Port-au-Prince extracts a 52-year-old Haitian man from the rubble of a collapsed building. The team labored for 6 hours to free the man who appeared to be in good condition, despite dehydration and injuries to his limbs. During four days of entrapment he communicated his location by sending SMS messages via his gsm to rescue workers. And then there was the birth of a baby girl in the Israeli field hospital.

100 Israeli Police Heading for Haiti

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon asked the Israeli Foreign Ministry to send a police contingent to Haiti, to fight growing anarchy there. The plea comes as the streets of earthquake-ravaged Port Au-Prince have reportedly become battle zones between gangs and looting is rampant.
