Walid Shoebat Bio
Walid Shoebat was born in Bethlehem, raised in Jericho in a strong Muslim family. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who conspired with Hitler to liquidate the Jews was an occasional guest in his home as a friend of Walid’s grandfather.
Walid, like so many others, joined the PLO and became indoctrinated with their goal of murdering Jews and destroying Israel. He spent time in a Jerusalem jail.
Eventually his ‘career’ took him to the US and was placed under the guidance of the same Imam (Islamic scholar) who mentored Osama bin Laden.
Married to a Hispanic Catholic, Walid constantly tried to convince his wife to convert to Islam. In 1993, she agreed to read the Quran on one condition...if he agreed to read the Bible. He saw this as the opportunity he had long been seeking to convert his wife to Islam, so he quickly agreed.
Convinced the Bible was full of lies he began studying it. After a lengthy study, he came to realize everything he was taught about Christians, Jews and Israel was wrong.
God touched his heart and transformed him. (Sounds like apostle Paul?)
Walid gave his heart to Christ, and renounced Allah, and Islam. This facilitated death threats against him and his family. In spite of personal risk, he placed himself in the hands of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and embraced his new faith and wanted to share the truth God had shown him with others.
God gave Walid a new calling and he was eager to be His servant.
He made an incredible transformation from wanting to murder Jews and destroy Israel to understanding God’s plan for Israel and the Jewish people, thus has become one of Israel’s most passionate defenders.
He is an excellent student of scripture.
With his knowledge of the Quran and Islam he represents a imperative perspective western Christians rarely hear, which is essential for all who thirst to understand prophesy in this critcal hour.
Walid has written several books, including "God's War on Terror", and has appeared on CNN, Fox News, Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Hannity and Colmes, The 700 Club, Sid Roth and dozens of other TV programs. He has spoken at many prophesy conferences.
His Middle-Eastern background allows him to understand scripture in a way, which provides key insights typically unseen by westerners. Long time students of prophesy have had their eyes opened as never before from Walid’s teachings.
