www.whyisrael.org This website is intended as a tool to encourage, stimulate and equip Christians world-wide to gain a better Biblical understanding of God's purposes with Israel, the Church and the nations. The website is intended to be interdenominational. The editors encourage contributions by all members of the one body of Christ, regardless of denomination or Church affiliation. The website, and all contributions submitted for publication, is governed by the following guidelines: 1. The Bible is respected as the infallible and inspired Word of God. In these Holy Scriptures, God reveals Himself and His creative and redemptive acts in His Son, Jesus Christ, from the beginning of the world to its completion. The Bible speaks with absolute authority, both in terms of salvation and in terms of the prophecies regarding the redemption of Israel, the Church and the nations. 2. The Bible reveals a number of basic truths regarding Israel and the Jewish people, including the following: o the Church has a unique calling; it has not replaced Israel o the Gentiles have been grafted into the true olive tree, of which the nation of Israel is the natural branch o God promised to Abraham that all nations would be blessed through - or in - him o God has promised to bring the Jewish people back to the land which He promised to Abraham as an everlasting possession o the return of the Jewish people which we witness today is fulfilment of Biblical prophecy o the return of the Jewish people to the land is a necessary step in the preparation for the coming of Messiah and the establishment of God's kingdom. 3. The website is not a forum for engaging in discussion or controversy regarding matters such as eschatology, Christology, ecclesiology, salvation or the like, except to the extent necessary to promote the purposes of the site. It basically is an exchange of thoughts in a respectful way to further insights in these matters. 4. The website is not a forum for evangelisation to the Jewish people. 5. All contributions must be written in a language of respect, unity and brotherhood. The purpose of the site is to build the body of Christ, not divide it. All the different parts of the body need each other. None of us has the absolute truth. Only the Scriptures have absolute truth and authority. While pursuing our common goals we recognise and rejoice in each other's unique giftings and callings. "In essentials unity, in non- essentials liberty, in all things charity". 6. Contributions must reflect a spirit of humility. It is not the purpose of the site to dictate to the Church or to other Christians. Where other Christian persons or organizations are referred to, this must be done with respect and in a spirit of love. The site is not a forum for attacking or condemning other persons, organizations or institutions. 7. As far as possible and appropriate, statements or opinions should be based on the Bible. 8. All contributions will respect the intellectual property of others. Contributions derived from other publications will only be published with permission, or where appropriate with the necessary acknowledgements. 9. Christians for Israel International and the editors reserve the right without consultation to reject contributions submitted for publication on the site, to remove them from the website, or to propose amendments. 10.
